The Open Society Foundations Grant Portal is now available in Spanish, French and Portuguese in addition to English.
You will be able to select the language in which to display the Grant Portal. Then, you can conveniently manage your organization profile, proposals, grants and related reports, payments and amendments in the newly available language.
Also, you can select your preferred language for communication. This includes email reminders and notifications.

Access Grant Portal Log In Page
From Chrome or Edge,
- Please go to https://myapplications.my.site.com/gsgrantee
- Click on the drop-down menu to view the language options and select in which language you want to display the Grant Portal

If you have an existing Grant Portal account, enter your email and password to login.
If it is your first time accessing the Grant Portal, click Create Account to register. The language in which you select to display the Grant Portal during registration will also be set as your preferred language for communication.
If you have forgotten your password, click Forgot Password.

If you are a new user, the language in which you registered will be set as your preferred language for communication.
If you are an existing user, you will be prompted to select your preferred language for communication after logging in to your account.
- Click on the drop-down menu to select your preferred language for communication.
- Click Submit
To Change Portal Language
- On the top-right corner, click on the person icon
- Log out of the Grant Portal
- Select the new language on the login page
- Type your username and password
- The portal will display in the newly selected language

Can I enter application details in Spanish, French or Portuguese?
Yes, you can enter application details in Spanish, French or Portuguese. You may also select English as your preferred language and continue to enter your information in English.
Will I receive email notifications in my preferred language?
Yes, email notifications will be sent in your preferred language.
Can I change my preferred language at any time?
Yes, you can change both your preferred language for communication and the language in which the Grant Portal is displayed.
To change your preferred language for communication:
- On the top-right corner, click on the person icon
- Click Profile
- Click Edit
- Click on the drop-down menu for Preferred Language for Communication
- Select your language
- Click Save
To change the language in which the Grant Portal is displayed:
- On the top-right corner, click on the person icon
- Log out of the Grant Portal
- Select the new language on the login page
- The portal will display in the newly selected language
- Type your username and password to log in again
Can I choose one language to access the Grant Portal and a different preferred language for communication?
Yes. When you initially access the Grant Portal, you can select the language in which the Grant Portal is displayed. During registration, you select your preferred language for communication. This can be updated in the future.
What is the difference between preferred language for communication and the language for the Portal?
The preferred language for communication is the language in which you will receive email reminders and notifications.
The language you select on the Portal login page determines the language in which the Portal is displayed. This includes your organization profile, proposal application and all other related pages.
Can my colleagues and I select a different language? Can we still collaborate on a proposal application and manage a grant if we each select different languages?
Each Grant Portal user can select their own preferred language for communication and language in which to display the Grant Portal.
It is best for the proposal application to be submitted in one language.
