Create New Annual Expenditure Record
Awareness of your annual expenditures helps Open Society understand your organization’s size and how it relates to your organization’s resilience and sustainability. This also helps Open Society identify, understand, and mitigate any dependency and influence concerns, particularly if Open Society funds will account for greater than one-third of an organization’s annual expenditure. For challenging scenarios when understanding your annual expenditure figure may be difficult, please reach out to your Open Society contact for guidance.
It is a pre-requisite to have an active and valid annual expenditure for the previous year in order to submit a proposal for review.
Select Annual Expenditures and Add New.

Enter Current Annual Expenditure Information

Column 1 | Column 2 |

Total Expenditures | (required) Enter pervious year's total expenses - this number should match the number on your supporting documentation. |
Expenditure Information Source | (required) Click on drop-down to indicate the supporting documentation for the expenditure information. |
Annual Expenditure Currency | (required) By default, this value will be in USD. If expenditure is in foreign currency, please click the drop-down to indicate organization's native currency here. |
Fiscal Year Period | (required) Click on drop down to select the organization's fiscal year period. |
Fiscal Year | (required) Enter the fiscal year for the expenditure |
To view or edit existing Annual Expenditures
Click on the arrow action icon and select Edit or View.
Please note you cannot edit an Annual Expenditure that has the status of Validated.
